What is Afterpay?
Afterpay is a buy-now, pay-later financing app that allows you to pay for your move in 4 smaller payments. Instead of paying for your move in one-lump-sum, the cost gets spread across a longer time frame. The benefit of this is that you can book us as your movers without stressing about the mounting costs of moving day. This pay-later option gives you flexibility and puts the power back in your hands!
How Does it Work?
You can use Afterpay online or in-store at participating retailers across Northwest Arkansas (NWA). At Phoenix moving, Afterpay is blended seamlessly with our payment systems. All you have to do is set up an account and personal profile. Once you’re in, you can keep track of your payments in the Afterpay app - the app also is compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay so you can use these mobile wallet apps to make purchases. Once set up, you can make an initial down payment toward your move. The final 3 payments can be made over a six-week period – turning a $100 payment into a $25 payment every other week.
What’s the Catch? (Hint: there is none)
According to Afterpay, these payments are totally interest-free and are simply a more flexible option to help you manage your budget on your own terms. Additional costs are only accrued if you miss your payment, but easy-to-set-up autopayments ensure that this is never an issue. These payments can be made using a debit or credit card. If you do accidentally miss a payment the late fee is capped at 25% of the total cost of the good or service (aka your move). If you decide you want to pay off your Afterpay purchase sooner than the six weeks, there are no prepayment penalties making it easy to pay off the cost early. Afterpay will not affect your credit score making it a possible budgeting tool!
